Nice face wash
I thought this product was great, I really liked the thick texture that melts down to a foam when washing. Worked well for my acne prone skin and left it feeling clean without stripping it.

Gentle enough for sensitive skin
I am 4 months postpartum and still have raging hormonal acne. The oil free face wash has helped to prevent breakouts without drying my skin out.

The only cleanser you need!
The Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash is just the product I needed in my routine. I can use it at the end of each day to remove all of my makeup, and is not too harsh on the skin. The fact that it is oil-free provides a sense of security that it won’t contribute to any breakouts. Lightly scented, with a gel like consistency that foams when rubbed. Leaves the skin feeling clean!

Great product!
This product works really well with my skin. Usually when I use standard face washes, they either completely dry out, or over moisturise my face. This face wash has been a perfect balance and my skin looks great!

LEFT MY SKIN BURNT AND BUBBLY
I have always thought Neutrogena was a great brand until I purchased this. I’ve NEVER had a reaction like this to any skincare, I’ve used and I like to experiment. I cleansed like usual, dried my face and then it was burning so bad it felt like my face was melting!! I now have bubbles all over my skin where I used this product and it’s unbelievably itchy.

Drugstore Acne Product Win!
I bought this on the recommendation of Dr Dray from YouTube.
This is an affordable, effective acne car product. The cleanser has 2% salycilic acid (BHA) which can help acne prone skin.
This is also surprisingly gentle on the skin. I have combination skin thsa leans more oily in the t zone and did not find this stripping or drying.
For my acne, it was semi effective though I have found more effective products since.
That being said, I still think it warrants 5 stars for those who are wanting to try something cheap and easily accessible!

Decent, but Neutrogena has better
This is a decent staple product of Neutrogena, and its ingredients do the trick. However, their new Hydroboost range is far superior in terms of feel and user experience.
For those looking to deal with acne, they also have their new red boottle anti acne range with 4% salicylic acid

Acne under control
I have used this acne wash for many years and it helps to keep my adult acne under control. It doesn't dry out my face, so is perfect for daily use. I pair it with an oil free moisturiser. It is easy to find as it is stocked in major supermarkets, so is not too expensive.

I bought this 2 days ago and it has made my skin the worst it has ever been in my life. my face is red, burnt, and dry and irritated the acne already on my face. I feel so disgusting and my face hurts. I would never recommend this to anyone and I don't know how this is allowed to be sold. I am so upset.

Love the Pink Grapefruit version!
I have super oily skin prone to blocked pores, and always need a cleanser with salicylic acid. I was pleasantly surprised by this Neutrogena Oil-Free Pink Grapefruit Cleanser I found on sale for $7! I actually bought 2 of them. One for the shower and one for the bathroom sink. Great for clearing up skin and smells really refreshing. Easy to use pump pack too. I've had zero breakouts since using this.

Extremely disappointed
My daughter has been using this to help with her acne and within a week she has had a severe reaction, itchy, burning skin, swollen eyes and very dry peeling. She is devastated.

That's a NO for oily skin
Definitely a 'no' for oily skin. I found that it stripped away too much of my natural oil.
The first few days felt great, but crazy breakouts afterwards.
If you use a toner after, you can see that it leaves 40% of leftover makeup, if not more...

Do Not Buy This Cleanser!!
After 2 days of using this cleanser, my eyes are extremely swollen, red, sore and burning. It has gotten worse over the course of 2 days, once I noticed the reaction. I do not have sensitive skin at all and this is the only product I has changed in any daily routine. I recommend not to buy this and after reading multiple reviews about similar experiences, Neutrogena should really consider taking this face wash off the market & I will be warning people anywhere I can about this product.

Almost ruined my face.
I bought this 3 days ago hoping it would help my acne prone skin. I used it before going to bed and woke up with a puffy eyelids, burned face, tightened and very dry skin. I hope Neutrogena would review the ingredients of this product as I’ve read really horrible reviews same as what I have experienced.

Worst acne wash I have ever used
This acne wash caused my norma skin to become very red and itchy. After using this acne wash for only 3 times, tiny white bumps covered all my face.

Great for aging skin
I never thought that in my 40's I would be fighting wrinkles AND acne! Thank goodness for this product as it has worked extremely well on my aging skin. It is gentle enough and cleanses very well. Initially my concern was that it would not work in harmony with my anti aging creams and serums (which are a different brand), however, it works very well and does not hinder the results. I use this product in conjunction with Neutrogena's Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Polish for exfoliating

Would not recommend
I have oily combination skin and find it hard to find products that work effectively for my skin! I decided to give this a go and my skin has never felt worse! My cheeks are so dry and itchy which I have never gotten with any other cleansers I have tried! I normally buy the daily scrub which works great but this product definitely let me down

Good basic cleanser for oily skin
Pro:
- easy to use pump.
- lathers up and deeply cleanses the skin.
- contains salicylic acid to help combat acne.
- if you use it correctly, the product does help with oily acne prone skin.
Con:
- If your skin is not oily, it can leave the face a bit tight and dry.

Please don’t buy this product.
I tried to use this product few days ago and when I wake up in the morning my face was burn, itchy, irritated and puffy eyes. I don’t write reviews NEVER! But because of my bad experience that I am having right now its really upsetting. I’m gonna need to see a doctor tomorrow because I can’t take the burn and itching feel on my face anymore. I’ve never experienced this before. I saw many other reviewers talked about how bad it is for their skin but why they’re still selling this product.

Woke up with a swollen red face
I used this product for two days (only in the PM) and on the third day, woke up with a very puffy, red face. So much swelling around my eyes, and then my skin became itchy.
It took a couple of hours to go down.

Been using for years
I've been using the Neutrogena oil free acne wash since I was a teenager and it's great for my oily skin. It also helps with getting rid of blemishes and keeping my skin clean. It can be slightly drying so I use it every other day.

Stop selling this product
I'm in love with most of the Neutrogena products. But this one is a big disappointment. This is the first time I feel my skin burn, itchy and irritated after using a skincare product contains acid. My skin is not sensitive and I moisturise it right after washing. Now I saw many other reviewers talked about how bad it is for their skin but it seems like the feedbacks were not listened. Neutrogena must take this one off the market, or adjust its formula if you want to keep selling it.
