Bought this a few days ago. Love Neutrogena. Have used their products for years.
Skin was getting a rough texture, then woke up with the puffiest eyes, that I went to the emergency room for, as my whole face was red, inflamed, rough, tight, puffy and stinging! I didn't realise it was this product, I was blaming the cold weather.. until this morning, when my teenager started using it yesterday..her face is really sore, red and scaly!
If you've received this many low stars, surely you should be looking into it.
Save your money, don't buy this!

I used it for two days and I felt my skin itchy and worst.
I'm the usually person who never notice the problem occurred due to the some product.
This is my first time I literally feel terrible after using Neutrogena oil free achne wash.

Mild and not irritating
It's a good as a facial wash. Don't think it addressed my acne issues. My face felt clean afterwards. Not the biggest fan of the scent. It can be quite overpowering. So I wont buy it again.

WORST SKIN PRODUCT I'VE EVER USED!
Initially when I had used this, I had only had a 1 or 2 visible forehead pimples with a few small spots which are not prominently visible unless it is viewed close up. However, I was hoping that the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash would be able to assist and target the visible red acne spot so after testing it, NEVER IN MY LIFE HAD THERE BEEN SO MANY BREAKOUTS! After testing it, my forehead had broke out with so many red spots along with my nose area, as I had applied some to my nose. My skin had also felt extremely dry afterwards but I am feeling way more disappointed with the extreme flaring up. I don't often write reviews but after the absolute harmfulness of this product, I have been compelled to warn others about this product. Once, again, I am extremely dismayed at how this product had exacerbated the condition of my skin - triggering the appearance of more red spots rather than targeting and concealing them. Never recommend this product!

I wish i could rate 0*. It is horrible. My skin became dry and itching after first time using it. At first, i did not know this could due to the cleanser and keep using it for 2 times more. It gave me dry skin which i had never experienced before (particular around mouth area)
Took me 2 weeks for my skin to get recover after stopping using it!

I have used the Neutrogena Hydro Boost moisturiser for years and it’s an amazing product, so I thought I’d use a Neutrogena face wash. But this is honestly the WORST product I’ve ever used on my face. I used this product twice and received what I can only describe as Burns to my face. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I don’t understand how they’re still selling this rubbish when there are so many bad reviews. STOP. MAKING. IT.

Amazing Wash!
I have been using this for quite a long time and i absolutely love it! it gets all my make up off, its easy on the eyes and i think the small amount of salycilic acid helps with breakouts and keeps my skin clear and less oily. All for an affordable price, love it!

Swollen, raw face
I bought this for my tween, she is fine I woke up with a swollen face, could hardly see out of my eyes, next day is red and itchy.
I swam in brackish water hoping to reduce swelling, our pool is magnesium, used after sun cream and laser aid. Swelling going down, still ichy 48hrs later.
This product should come with a huge warning

Please stop selling this product!
I don’t have sensitive skin and I’ve used other Neutrogena products in the past but this is absolutely awful. I can’t believe it can still be sold. I woke up to a very red and raw face that feels burnt. My eyelids were swollen and red and now my skin has started flaking. My face also broke out in tiny white pimples. Please stop selling this product!

Strips your skin
I thought when the packaging said oil free it meant the cleanser. Turns out it's your skin that will be stripped of it. My skin felt tight after using it. It's worth checking out the ingredients list. I thought it would be a simple oil free cleanser with acne fighting ingredients but it really isn't. Removing all moisture won't improve acne. I'll be avoiding this one in the future. And definitely do not recommend it for oily or acne prone teenage skin it's way too harsh.

It can burn your skin
I bought Neutrogena facial wash a week ago on the 3rd day of using it my face is become sooo dry itchy and flaky..I try to put moisturizer it stings wash it with cold water now i am putting vaseline but it still itchy.I am so disappointed with this product.

Gave me a rash
After using only 3 times, this cleanser made gave me an extremely itchy red rash all over my face. I do not have sensitive skin and use a salicylic acid treatment on my face everyday, so I was not expecting such a reaction at all. In fact, I would expect this product to work very well for me.
I have used other Neutrogena products in the past and been happy with them, but this really was a disaster. I do not recommend this product at all.

My teenage son & I tried this. It has left us both with red, itchy, & dry flaky skin. We only used it twice but we are on our forth day of irritated skin. None of us have any allergies or have sensitive skin.

nightmare. White dots everywhere burning like heck. Red rash. Red raw skin. Horrible. Had to be given heaps of antibiotics to make it go away and lots of calamine lotion to stop the burning itch. Awful awful awful. Worst product in the world.

This oil free acne wash is for acne prone skin. It helps to eliminate oil and dirt also helps clearing out black heads and breakouts . It is clinically proven to boost delivery of salicylic acid to unclog congested pores.
Highly recommended.
Affordable too.

No good at all
I would no recommend this product to anyone. I used this product only three time my skin started to go red and started to burn, It’s now been 3 days after using this product and my face is so dry, and lumpy and red. I cannot put anything on my face to moisturise it because my face is burnt so badly and it starts to react . After going online and seeing all the reviews I feel so terrible.

Love!
Swear by this product! I’m a beauty therapist and I started to struggle with acne after coming off the pill. I tried a few other options like Serums etc but it wasn’t until I got this my skin changed dramatically! Salicylic acid really works wonders on acne prone skin.

awful product
I bought this for acne. Used it twice, two consecutive mornings. The day of the second morning I noticed my face was starting to feel a bit itchy, tight and irritated. Looking in the mirror my face is red.
I don’t know if what I am having is an allergic reaction or if it has burnt my skin.
Here I am the third day. I have to go to work looking like this which isn’t great. It hurts to smile or move my face. The best way to describe the feeling is a combination of sunburn and ant bites.
Upon googling this product I see many people have had this reaction. Yet the product continues to be sold on the shelves with no warnings.

The only acne wash I will use
I absolutely love this cleanser. It keeps my skin clear, and is mild enough for me to use every day (once a day) even though I have highly sensitive skin and rosacea as well. I've tried other products here and there, but my skin always over reacts, and I always end up coming back to this!! Please don't ever discontinue! This is the best acne wash I've ever used, and that includes products that are triple or even 5x the price.

Dried out my skin
I did not like this cleanser at all. I’m someone who is religious about my skincare, however find it difficult to consistently use a product that works. After the first use this product dried out the skin around my nose and mouth so badly I had to moisturise my face every few hours. It dried out my acne, but also the rest of my face. I won’t be using it again.

I started using this product on a regular basis some months ago & I'm impressed w/ the results. My skin is usually oily & acne prone & daily use of this product means I see little to no pimples & blemishes. Skin feels refreshed and light after use. I also highly recommend the Pink Grapefruit version of this product. Neutrogena ROCKS!!
