Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great wearing zinc sun lotion I grew up wearing zinc sun protection in all the funky colours. However on growing up avoided it as the skin toned shades were always too whitening. Unfortunately this sheer zinc lotion is the same, it does dry clear, but it takes a while, not ideal for someone always in a rush. I would highly recommend this to my lighter skin toned friends, but for anyone with light olive+ or redness in their skin tone, probably not. It does feel like a light zinc cream, but the feeling goes away as it dries. No fragrance also makes it great to wear for anyone sensitive to perfumes in skin care products. Overall a good zinc sun lotion, but be prepared to look like you are wearing zinc cream at first.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Give it 15 minutes extra in the morning! Hi, I totally agree with Lissy7's review 9 months ago. I bought this item last week knowing that I needed to up my SPF game under my make up in the mornings. Chemical suncsreen really starts to sting & irritate my cheeks, temple & outer eye area after about 4 hours so it's no good - back to zinc we go. I have found that this product stays put over the top of my moisturiser. Warm it up first between finger tips and gently pat it on in 2 x thin layers to make sure all face is covered well. Go make a coffee, do your eyes, iron your shirt, then come back and gently pat on foundation, powder etc... the Neutrogena Sheer Zinc for Face will be sheer & dry by then and you'll be set & ready to go.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not good for dry skin Unfortunately many people with sensitive skin also have dry skin. For years I have followed advice and used Zinc and titanium oxide on my dry skin (which is also sensitive) only to make the sensitivity and dryness worse... i only recently realised this and switched to your hydro boost sunscreen range. What a relief! My skin is healing and I am now onto such great products... really not sure why you push the zinc range when the hydro boost range far exceeds anything in zinc range.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed - I wanted to love it I am a Neutrogena fan but this sunscreen has left me disappointed. I didn’t want a chemical sunscreen so decided to give this a try. It is a thick cream which leaves a white cast even after waiting about 20 minutes. I applied my makeup and immediately felt like I had a heavy mask on my face. I wear a Chanel sheer coverage makeup which after an hour had disappeared . The formula is greasy and a little grainy. I may use in days I am not going out and staying around the house, beach etc. I don’t believe I need an SPF 50 so maybe there is another I need to try. I desperately wanted to live this

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Sheer at all I LOVE the idea of a 50+ with 21% zinc it's perfect however this product isn't practical to everyday use. It's way to thick, turns your face white for half an hr before adsorbing and it cant be worn over make up. :(

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Useful for targeted protection I think the Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Face Lotion is a fantastic product for sun protection, but it's too thick and hard to spread on my face to be an everyday product - it even affects the consistency of my moisturiser. I have very fair skin, so it's great to know that I am being protected, but I need something a bit more moisturising for my dry, aging skin. I'll definitely keep it in my repertoire for sun sense when I know I'm going to an event outside. While it does give a slight, white cast to my face, I'm pale anyway so that's wasn't an issue to me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A definite No No for Sensitive Skin This is a product that makes me wonder, "What were they thinking?" It's called "Sheer Zinc Dry-Touch Sunscreen" but there is absolutely nothing sheer or dry about it. It's thick, nearly impossible to spread across the skin, and leaves a sticky, damp layer on the face. I Have sensitive skin and just rubbing it in made my skin turn blotchy red and burn/tingle. The thickness of the product makes it impossible to apply, and the whiteness of the cream you see initially does not fully go away. It seems to never dry?? Its too sticky and uncomfortable for me. Definitely not a good sunscreen if u live in a humid climate like QLD. I had to wash it off to stop the burning and tingling sensation. Sorry but sensitive skin.... ME.... A definite No No

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beats my childhood 1980's ZINC ! This product, " Neutrogena sheer zinc face lotion, was convenient to apply. I squeezed a little bit from the tube, and gently applied using my finger tips, it blended in well. At first, I was thinking that it would be similar to other various zinc products out there, on the market. However, I was pleasantly surprised, that it was so sheer, light-weight, and seemed to disappear into my skin. The product was pleasant, not an overwhelming scent, so that was a bonus ! It had great sun protection, and provided a full coverage, to protect my face !
