Neutrogena® Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Polish 75mL

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My go to choice for a physical exfoliant [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although i am generally a fan of chemical exfoliants over physical ones, I did find this product quite pleasant to use. It has a similarly nice fragrance to the rest of the range without being too overpowering. It is a gentle formulation in that it isn't a super gritty and rough physical exfoliant - the texture of the grains are quite fine - and seems to be in a quite creamy base. My skin definitely felt smoother and clearer after using this and i used it approx 1-2 times a week. I have combination skin and am particularly oily and congested around my T zone and i found that this polish wasn't overly drying nor irritating around the more sensitive parts of my face. Would recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bright and clean [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the micro granules for my face right from the first time I used the product. After 3 weeks of regular use, I can say that they give a cleansed comfortable feeling after a wash and the skin looks visibly polished. - One observation / advice is that using this product leaves my skin slightly dry (mine is already dry skin), so an immediate moisturizing routine definitely helps keep the moisture intact and deciding the frequency of use based on how the skin responds is needed. Overall, I recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth Skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Particularly during summer I look for anything brightening, to find a cleanser to add to my routine that did this i really couldn't wait to try it. Adding in a buff/shine feel by using the texture in it. I felt my skin was completely clean after use, which can be hard after using sun screen during the day to finish with a 'fresh face' feel. It was like a light sand gentle exfoliating, the product did the work for you so no need to push or rub vigorously. My skin, after a few washes with the product was bright! I have a more sensitive skin type and alternated the product with my regular cleanser to start with. Even using the product every other day showed results of a smoother skin and a real bright boost to my completion all over. If you are looking to change up your routine, i recommend giving this product a go!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Depends on your skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who struggles from acne on and off, I found this product to be a little too harsh for my skin. I think on normal to oily skin that isn’t too prone to breakouts this product would actually work quite well. While I still liked the way it felt and could see some benefits like a clearer looking skin in some areas of my face and a more even tone, I only really used it every once in a while. I can however see the benefits of this product and how amazing it would work on skin that isn’t so textured or bumpy. I think I’ll definitely give it another chance once my skin becomes a little more clearer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My skin felt soft and healthy after using this. It isn’t a coarse exfoliant but not so gentle that it does nothing. My skin is a little sensitive and occasionally will break out with new products, but my skin did not react poorly with this product. I also enjoyed the smell. I suspect this would be great for the body as well as the face as it moisturises as well as exfoliates. I did not notice if it made my skin more radiant after wards though. I would recommend this product to others. It was easy to use and incorporate into my regular skin care routine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A pleasant physical exfoliant [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Whilst I enjoy the Neutrogena bright boost range, personally I prefer a chemical exfoliant at my age (34), rather than a physical exfoliant. However, for those who like physical exfoliants, this one felt fairly gentle and left my skin feeling clean. My skin type is normal/dry - am not sure if it might be a little rough for those with sensitive skin. Nil issues with the product other than my own personal preference. The range is well priced and a step up from other supermarket skincare. The packaging is also pretty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Radiating exfoliant [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really really liked this exfoliant. I used this twice a week after cleansing and my skin was left feeling radiating, brightened and so fresh after each use, I noticed a difference almost instantly and after using upon waking up I felt more confident having that “fresh glow” waking up, rather than dull tired looking skin. It actually made me want to wear foundation less and embrace my bare “glowing fresh” skin. The fragrance was light and smelt nice and it wasn’t overly harsh as some exfoliants can be on my skin - the perfect texture. I love that it contains glycolic and AHAs too. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When trialling this product, I noticed that when I used it that it did what it was supposed to. My skin felt smoother but it wasn't fantastic or amazing. I don't really feel it made a huge difference on the brightening of my skin as a single product. I did use it with 2 other Neutrogena brightening boost products and found that when they are used altogether that they work best. I did notice that sometimes it made my skin a little red after use so I'd say if you have sensitive skin that you should probably avoid this product. For its price, I feel like the product does a good job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A gentle physical exfoliator [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has got to be my favorite from the whole line. It definitely reminds me of St. Ives Scrub but a much gentler version. It is a physical exfoliator that has microbeads that helps resurface the skin, thus the name. This micro polish is formulated with the gentlest type of AHAs which is Mandelic acid, along with glycolic acid which is both good for my sensitive skin. I was a bit worried because it’s a physical exfoliator, but astonishingly it didn’t irritate my skin after wash. I use this twice a week especially on days that my skin needs a tad pick me up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic exfoliant! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVED this exfoliant! The Neutrogena Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Polish was great addition to my beauty routine. I would use it a few times a week to help clean my face from all leftover traces of makeup, and when I needed a pick-me-up (because nothing feels nicer than a nice clean face!). It left my skin feeling smooth, soft and hydrated - no need for any additional moisturiser on the scrub days! The tube was super easy to use & is a good size both for at home & travelling. I’d definitely recommend to others!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Effective [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was on the trial team for the Neutrogena® Bright Boost™ Resurfacing Micro Polish, and found it to be an effective exfoliant. I noticed other reviewers found this product to be harsh on their skin, but I didn't really find that to be the case with this product. I do however have 'normal' skin, and actually found the product to be quite effective at exfoliating, and left my skin feeling noticeably smoother. Like the other products in the range, I also liked the scent of this product and would recommend it to others.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average - slightly drying effect [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out of the Bright Boost range, I liked this the most. The polish is a fine grit texture and feels nice when applied to the skin for exfoliating, it isn't too rough and skin does feel softer and smoother afterwards. It left my skin looking slightly brighter after use. After drying the skin however, skin does feel slightly tight so I wouldn't recommend this for sensitive and dry skin types as it may be too drying. It also contains fragrance so may be irritating. I needed to apply more hydration to my skin after using this product so that's a watch out. Overall this product is average, I don't mind using it but I don't find myself reaching for it as there are other exfoliating products that aren't as drying.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Rough on sensitive skin type [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the neutrogena bright boost resurfacing micro polish and found that overall it did brighten my skin after a few uses. The texture of the product was consistent with an exfoliating cream however I normally do not have sensitive skin and I feel that this product made my face react with some redness and irritation. My face did feel slightly smoother after rinsing with water but didn’t feel any softer or more nourished than other exfoliating products. I needed to use the bright boost gel cream and the serum to get my skin to its desired state after using the micro polish. The scent of the product was really nice but I believe the fragrance is what made my skin react along with the exfoliating texture of the product. I wouldn’t recommend this for sensitive or dry skin types.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fine texture, super gentle but effective [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually really loved this exfoliator as it felt a lot less coarse than many other exfoliators on the market. It is a very fine texture and consistency so there is less of a harsh roughness to the exfoliation. This left my face feeling more "smoothed" rather than scratched up. There's no harsh burning sensation with this product either, which I loved, as I have relatively sensitive skin which is often irritated by some "strong" exfoliators. My skin definitely felt like it was cleansed without feeling stripped. Would highly recommend.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Physical exfoliant a no-no [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Low rating due to the physical exfoliant component which can cause microabrasions. In my opinion physical exfoliants are outdated yet perhaps still produced as they make consumers 'feel' like the product is working. This product also has fragrance and is therefore not suited to sensitive skin types. My skin was exfoliated after use although I did not notice any brightening to my complexion. A little does go a long way with this product however and it does have a nice creamy formula. Beware also of marketing claims like "dermatologically tested or approved" which does not prove a product fulfills its aims.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tight and bright skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a Great product which exfoliates leaving your skin luminous, bright, tight and smooth. Results are very quick, within a week a noticeable difference is seen in the skin surface. The product has a great texture and has a subtle exfoliation from the slightly rough texture and the chemical exfoliation is really Effective. A little bit of this product goes a long way so this product will last a long time. The packaging is really easy to use and premium. Would definitely purchase again and recommend to friends and family

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not For Dry, Sensitive Skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like others have said, the polish does have a really fine grit to the texture, but nothing too bothersome. When I used this product, my face definitely looked brighter and clearer. This polish unfortunately does leave my face feeling dry and tight. I find I have to use a moisturising cream + oil to get my skin back to feeling nourished. I do have dry skin, so I am not surprised by this result. If you are the same, I would recommend another exfoliant (preferably chemical) that would be more gentle. Unfortunately this product also has fragrance, so it did irritate my sensitive skin on top of drying it out. I had some redness after using this polish that took a while to fade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes my face feel softer and look cleaner [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was using this product every second day and I love the way it made my skin feel right after, before putting anything else on my face. My face feels very soft, smooth and silky. After I dry my face, my skin feels like I have a moisturiser on, when in fact, I don’t, that’s has soft and great my skin feels. My face feels cleans and looks brighter but I didn’t feel the cleanliness feeling lasted more than a day. By the time it’s night or the next day, I would find myself in front of the mirror trying to squeeze out black/white heads, and/or dried up pimples, whereas my other exfoliator didn’t give me the urge to do this. In saying that, it is good at cleaning the face and really does make the face look whiter, brighter and cleaner. I have sensitive skin which is prone to break out, turn red, or sting. The Neutrogena Bright Boost range did not affect me at all so I would like to say that it is safe for sensitive skin but will refrain from doing so as everyone’s skin is different and reacts differently to different things so always take precautions when trying something new. I would definitely recommend the Neutrogena Bright Boost range to anyone who wants smoother, softer, silken, brighter skin as it has brightened my skin and got rid off the dullness and the tired appearance my face previously had.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Neutrogena® Bright Boost™ Resurfacing Micro Polish [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Neutrogena® Bright Boost™ Resurfacing Micro Polish is a gentle facial scrub that exfoliates dullness to reveal brighter skin. The scrub itself is very gentle with smaller than sand like grains. The product has the same fragrance as the others in this Bright Boost range that I find a bit overpowering. I found that my skin did feel smoother and cleaner after using but not so much "visibly brighter" I have oily skin and this polish worked well with it. I also liked that it has both physical and chemical exfoliation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A nice combination exfoliant [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not usually a fan of physical exfoliants and tend to prefer chemical only. The beauty of this product is that it still has glycolic and mandelic acids which are perfect for my skin and really helps to clarify, especially around my chin and nose where I get congestion sometimes. I would only use this once a week as my skin does tend to get a little sensitive every so often and I find that the physical exfoliant (feels like super fine sand) can irritate it. You really don't need to apply much pressure at all because as mentioned it does have the chemical element to it and the texture just helps to lightly buff away any dead and dry skin on the surface.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gentle exfoliator [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Neutrogena bright boost resurfacing micro polish is an exfoliator to help buff away dead skin cells to help soften and smooth the skin. The exfoliator is quite gentle and didn't really feel like an exfoliator as the grainy texture that's found in these types of products was very fine so when I used it all over my face I didn't really get that exfoliating feeling that I would get with other products, Nevertheless, it was gentle and didn't cause any irritation to my skin. I would use this at night as it contains different types of acids which would help with exfoliating the skin as well as brightening and evening out skin tone. These are all things that I struggle with as I have oily and acne prone skin with a bit of pigmentation and I found that using this every other day has helped with clearing up my skin and making it look brighter and more even. Once I wash it off my skin feels so smooth and not as rough as before. Overall, my skin doesn't look as congested and I have less blackheads on my nose too. If you have sensitive skin I would recommend doing a patch test before using it but overall I think it would work well for most skin types.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cleans and Brightens I love anything that cleanses and buffs away dead skin so seeing this with a brightening feature as well, I couldn't wait to try it. The texture is creamy with what feels like very, very fine sand. I did not have to apply any pressure to my face to get an exfoliating effect. I wouldn't recommend using much pressure at all as it would be possible to damage your skin, so don't go crazy with it. I only needed a small amount to cover my face. After washing off, I found my skin was very clean, smoother and slightly brighter. I was more interested in the cleaning abilities with any brightening as a bonus, so I'm happy to report this does both and with little effort. If you're looking for a quick and easy exfoliator cleanser, this gives me great results so I recommend you try it.
