have a sensitive skin
have a sensitive skin and this one didn’t work very well with it. I have been using this on and off for about a two weeks but every time I use it my skin feel tangled. It irritating my skin even if I using it only once to twice a week. Maybe if you skin not sensitive it will show better results than my skin and it will be different for you.

we got this along with the cleanser and this has been a slow burner for sure. it works gradually so you don't see effects right away. it fades out spots over time and works to create an even skin tone. great as an addition to their cleanser

i had never heard
i had never heard or seen of this product before the campaign and i’m in complete love with this product, i suffer really badly with acne and hormonal acne and since starting these products within a week my skin has cleared so much, i’ll continue to use and purchase these in the future!

The Advanced Acne Serum
The Advanced Acne Serum not only targets spots and blemishes but texture and dark spots. It has 10% Salicylic Acid AHA/ PHA complex so this just gets rid of dirty dead skin cells and gives the skin a lovely refreshed glow. The texture and feel of the serum is really nice quite hydrating and thick but it blends right in an instant!

I love it . It reduced my ance..it works very well on my skin..I used it all over my face twice a day..in the morning and at night and I did see the results I will recommend it

My busy lifestyle has left me totally neglecting my skin!
I love that I can use this in the shower and it only takes a minute!
My skin isn't left feeling weighed down, dry or oily.
Paired with the Acne cleanser, this is the perfect duo!
I'm already seeing and feeling a massive difference.

This was still as great as the cleanser it went in smoothly and easily not feeling heavy at all!! but it didn’t hit exactly the nail on the head for me the only reason for this is the scent was just that bit too strong for me. But still Fantastic!!

Serum is even better
Serum is even better than cleanser. I really feel the effect after using it that my sling feels more tight and oil free.
Packaging is so cute! In general I always loved this brand!

I really liked this
I really liked this serum it exceeded my expectations by far! I liked the packaging, the smell wasn't overpowering at all, has a normal serums texture gel like I guess and there is a little sting doesn't bother me personally...
I have been using the serum with the cleanser AM and Pm for two weeks and I do see alot of difference it cleared my skin up, smaller pores and appearing dewy it has made my skin look like It's filtered so I'm super happy would recommend.

When used with the cleanser my skin was feeling very clean and refreshed. There was no extra oily residue or sticky feeling left behind, there was a pleasant fragrance as well. This was the first time I've used this product but I would recommend it to others!

The serum has a pleasant smell to it. if not used to the strength it can feel a bit stinging on the skin so I only used once per day and it was good. it cleared up my face and made my face look brighter and fresher. I would look into buying this long term.

I really like the combination of Neutrogena cleaner and serum. I think it perfectly suit my skin. Gently massage skin with Neutrogena cleaner and apply serum after using tonner and you can see the visible transformation in few days. I really enjoy having it. The new advanced technology helps to clean skin perfectly, as it can reduce the trouble of skin including pimples, dark spots and uneven texture.
Salicylic acid/ AHA/ PHA can effectively prevent acne, redness spots and uneven texture.
It also encourage the cell turnover, effectively unclogs pores and dissolves excess oil.
My skin is improved a lot after using it and associate with other Neutrogena serum and water gel as well. The effectiveness is visible after few days.

I received this from Influenster as a gift one week ago. I tried this acne serum and I must say the ingredients looks fantastic as it has got Salicylic acid. However, the fragrance is so strong and it Also stink my face. It gave me literally headache. Sadly, it is a no for me. I can’t deal with the fragrance, it smells so much of chemical. It’s hard to put on your face. If you don’t mind the fragrance you might like it. But for me it’s a no and also I didn’t find it that much effective on my face for acne.

So I have moderate
So I have moderate to severe acne at the moment and I feel like this product combined with the face wash has really helped to lessen new spots coming up and helped heal what was already on my skin. I’ve been using it for just over a week and the only side effect I have come across is when I put the serum too close to my lips they become dry and itchy. If you have sensitive skin I would be very careful with this product as it tends to tingle my skin a fair bit and even sting a little sometimes (I know my skin can handle that though) I am excited to keep using this product over the next few weeks and see if it clears my skin up more. I would recommend this if you are suffering from an acne breakout and if you have already got experience using AHA’s and BHA’s - I’ve been using it every day but if you’re aren’t used to those products I would start off only using it a couple of days per week. Overall it’s great to see an affordable brand bring out an acne focused product that actually seems to help.

This product ruined my face
Listen, I never write reviews but this product warrants it. I am well versed in skincare and understand interactions and limitations. I wanted to like this product so badly but.... it simply just didn't work out. This product is strong, I used it every few days. I thought I was purging. Pressed on, kept using it. BIG mistake. This product made my acne incredibly painful and brought it out in places I never get acne. I've absolutely damaged my skin barrier by using this product which is really unfortunate because salicylic acid products aren't easy to come by in Australia and I was so excited to try this. Better luck with the ordinary products. Please be careful with this product, it can absolutely damage your skin :(

Its OK, take extra caution for sensitive skin!!
It's OK, not for those with very sensitive skin.
Testing the advance acne serum for 7 days straight, once a day in the evening. In the first couple days it doesn't seem to be causing anything, and then as the days goes from the 4th onwards my face was itchy and area around my mouth and side nose and forehead is just flair up with redness and itchy and the thin skin around my eyes was itchy too. My neck was also flaring up with itch and redness. I have to stop using it as I was scared. I took some photos of it. Can't seem to find anywhere to attach it here... My face is not the typical sensitive kinda one, but this one might just be way too strong. Shame though as the product is on the pricey point and only use it for about a week. I wonder if there is a Neutrogena shop in Australia I can walked into and return the product. I literally bought 4x Neutrogena items (1x advance acne serum, 2x oil free facewash, 1x Vit C face serum) So far only use the face wash and advance acne serum and after the flair up, I literally dont dare to open the other Neutrogena product!

Cleared up my cystic acne
I've noticed a huge improvement in my skin since incorporating this product into my skincare routine. I'm in my early 30s and still suffer from hormonal acne, which I get around my chin. I've been using this serum for just over 2 months now, one pump, twice a day and I'm nearly halfway through my second bottle already. I've been using chemical exfoliants daily for a few years now (and still use these other products under this acne serum) and my skin hasn't reacted badly to the 10% solution at all. I layer this serum over my current chemical exfoliant toners and then use a gel moisturiser on top. Not only does my skin feel smoother, but my red, post-acne marks are fading and I haven't had any of the large cystic acne I usually frequently get in around 2 months. I still get very small little pimples around my chin every so often, but they're so rare and small that I hardly notice them - and they're gone in a few days. I've used so many acne creams and expensive acne serums that just didn't work well for my skin, so I'm so happy that this serum has really worked for me, especially given that it doesn't even cost half of what I was paying for other products that promised the same results. The serum itself doesn't feel greasy on the skin, is light and absorbs well and I don't notice any smell to the product. Given that's it is a 10% solution though, I you're not used to chemical exfoliants I'd definitely recommend patch testing before using.

Gentle exfloliating serum
I bought this on special from Big W two weeks ago. I have dry, acne-prone, sensitive skin in my mid-30's. I use this with the Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash 2% Salicylic acid. I'm used to exfoliating wash and wash off masks but this serum is the first leave-on exfoliant I have tried. I use it three times a week on nights that I don't use my retinoid. So far, I find it gentle with no irritation at all. I find my skin more smooth and moisturised in the morning after. I also love that it's fragrance-free! *Warning: start slow if you're not used to exfoliating acids and apply on top of moisturiser to minimise irritation.
